What we measure
Advanced diagnostics, selected because they can change the plan
More testing is not the goal — better clinical decisions are. Every diagnostic at Perennial is chosen by your physician because the result could genuinely alter your prevention, training, or treatment strategy.
Advanced biomarker panels
Comprehensive laboratory work spanning metabolic, cardiovascular, hormonal, inflammatory, nutrient, and organ-system markers. Panels go well beyond a routine annual draw, and every result is interpreted against your history and trajectory rather than a population reference range alone.
DEXA body composition
DEXA and related tracking clarify muscle mass, fat distribution, and bone health — three of the strongest physical predictors of how well people age. Repeated over time, it shows whether your training and nutrition are actually building the reserve you'll rely on in later decades.
VO2 max and performance physiology
Cardiorespiratory fitness is among the most powerful known predictors of long-term health. VO2 max testing, resting metabolic rate, and functional assessments establish where you stand and anchor a training and metabolic strategy you can measure against.
Genetics and pharmacogenomics
Selected genetic testing can clarify inherited risk, and pharmacogenomic testing can show how you metabolize specific medications. These tests are used when they answer a real clinical question — not as a default screen for everyone.
What happens after testing
Results don't sit in an inbox. They are reviewed in context by Dr. Mottram, translated into priorities, tracked in your private patient portal, and revisited as the data changes. Testing is coordinated through the clinic; some outside labs or imaging may be billed separately depending on the facility and your benefits.
Diagnostic selection is individualized — not every patient needs every test. This page is informational and is not individualized medical advice.
